The virtuoso electric bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma performs eight selections on his third Gramavision release " Music World" and interesting play on words "World Music" that became a popular theme in the commercialization of cultural music and and "white washing" of the true meaning. This album was recorded in six different settings around the world. Proving music is truly a universal language. The opportunity granted to Tacuma at this point of his career is incredible. Tacuma a natural producer travels around the world in search of collaborators and he finds them some randomly and by chance and others were sought out and were an extension of the network of ground breaking musicians he had the opportunity to meet while working in Ornette Colemans's Prime Time. For example touching down in Turkey he finds the musician he wanted to work with unavailable, this does not discourage him, he believes the Creator directs his path and is the best of planners, arriving in Istanbul he finds just the right musical compliment to his open minded genre busting musical attitude. The story that unfolds on this trip around the world is compelling and Tacuma gives us a glimpse inside the life of a musical pioneer in search of peace and freedom who sees no boundaries and no boxes. The very unique use of electronics by his sidemen is innovative and iconic. With intriguing selections particularly singer Leon Thomas on an original remake of "The Creator Has a Master Plan." Among the many obscure sidemen are the fiery fusion guitarist Kazumi Watanabe, percussionist Jerry Gonzalez (unfortunately only on one song) and Odean Pope on soprano and oboe. The overall results takes the listener on an incredible journey around the world.

wow wow wow is this boxset ever full of riches. Dreamtime, The Driver's Son, and Barn Fever are some of my new favourites, and I am 1 of those people who first (knowingly) came across"Blue" Gene Tyranny's work through Trust in Rock. now I have the pleasure of working backwards, forwards, and in all of the degrees of freedom found Cage's Deli
This man is a genius. To hear the consistency and development of his craft over decades in this volume is very inspiring. And many thanks to Unseen Worlds for continuing to expand the available catalogue of his music. Superb! Michael Hix
i was at 2 of these shows and they were a highlight of the year for me, so glad to see this music released -- the interplay is incredible and the interpretations are so fresh. the recording quality is excellent as well. e123

This one is special - amazing interpretations and orchestration, delicate and powerful in equal measure - peerless playing and most importantly emotionally moving! A triumph! In my top 10 for 2023 without a doubt MyFlatEarth
