This is the first in a series of “Mixed Tape” compilations of tracks he has produced and performed on during a high point in his music career in Philadelphia in the 1990’s . For this first mixed tape he has created a playlist that take you on a funky ride with of a host of characters from Philly: Malik B, Black Thought and Quest Love founders of The Roots who have since all become super stars in the HipHop international community . Ursula Rucker who Jamaaladeen discovered while she was working as a hostess at legendary music and arts venue The Painted Bride , he recognized her immense talent and invited her to go to Europe for a tour. She has since become a Pew Fellow, acclaimed Poet and Spoken Word artist with an international following. Marcus Willis AKA DJ Moshe Black is a composer DJ that hears things differently has a unique spin on classic funky rhythms, Rapper and vocalist extraordinaire Antoine Green aka The Microphone Veteran of King Britt camp , Maestro Kankawa legendary Japanese jazz organist , Pink Inc ; Alex Duetsch drums, Delmar Brown Vocals and Keys , Jamaaladeen Tacuma a trio that toured Europe in the early 1990’s and was fusing classic American Funk with European Dance Vibes.
