Jamaaladeen was on tour with The Last Poets for their 40th anniversary tour. The tour took them to Dakar Black Cultural Festival . The band traveled to Goree Island , no one can visit this place and not be emotionally moved. For a person of African descent this place evokes a great range of emotions as it was the place that all of the slaves passed through on their way to the America's. Jamaaladeen recorded a spontaneous discussion and this opening track narration is by Abiodun Oyewole founder of the The Last Poets speaking when they arrived to Goree Island.
