Organizer: Outsiders Improvised & Creative Music Festival, is a black artist directed, non-profit project fiscally sponsored by Cultureworks of Greater Philadelphia , founded by producer, bassist and composer Jamaaladeen Tacuma’s Jam All Productions. For over 30 years Jam All Productions has been presenting innovative creative cross genre music worldwide. Steeped in the rich history of American-born Philly-raised soul, funk and jazz. Jam All Productions is constantly stretching the mold of what jazz is supposed to be and has been bringing the audio flavors of Philadelphia to the world for over 30 years. During this time Jam All Productions has forged lasting relationships with many of the worlds most prominent music promoters, club owners, artistic directors, and booking agents. Jam All Production's network is complemented by the world's most in demand innovative and creative artists & musicians. Tacuma's career has been recognized with many awards and honors, including a Pew Fellowship (2011), given annually to exceptional Philadelphia artists by the Pew Center for Arts & Heritage; The Clef Club of Jazz Best Bassist Award (2018); and the City of Philadelphia's Benny Golson Award (2018) including a City proclamation and Liberty Bell Award—one of the highest honors from the City of Philadelphia. He was named Philadelphia Jazz Hero by Jazz Journalist Association in 2020 and Granted the South Arts Creative Residency Award in 2022.

Purpose: The Outsiders Improvised & Creative Music Festival 2022 curated by internationally renowned jazz bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma, drawing on his experience of performing in music festivals worldwide over the last three decades. His aim is to bring these exciting experiences home to Philadelphia by gathering musical mentors and colleagues who exemplify the riches of our city's creative jazz music culture; and to provide a setting for these artists to stretch their musical imaginations for a diverse audience.The acclaimed Outsiders festival continues with a unique, expansive presentation for 2022.
